The professional services offered by Black Sash Restoration include the following under three broad categories:
- Restoration - Offering everything from simply un-sticking painted-shut sash, to full the removal, stripping, reglazing and reinstalltion of multiple windows and everything in between
- Weatherization - "Tightening" includes installing adjustable slide washers for clamping down sash stops in the winter months, installation of brass weatherstripping and sash locks and the restoration, repair or fabrication and installation of storm windows (traditional wood or low profile aluminum)
- Maintenance - In addition to "on-call" maintenance, Black Sash Restoration will be offering something unique in the State of Vermont: a yearly service that could include the following: storm window put-up, take-down and optional storage, glass cleaning (interior and exterior), sash pulley oiling, sash cord/chain inspection and replacement as needed, cleaning and waxing of stops and jambs, repair to glazing, painting (and only where you want it - not where it will seal your windows shut!), and tightening as needed
